First named in 1325 A.D. as a knights castle.
Renewed 1685 A.D. by the Count of Montfort.
Bridge over the former moat.
Entrance to the baroque interior.
The antique public house in Offenberg (18th century), after over 6 years of renovation reopened in November 1998.

Postcard from 1950: click to enlarge, 47 KB The Castle was sold in March 1998 and is now the home of the so called "Academy for cultural and public affairs".
Don't ask me what this is good for. Besides there are now some activities like classical and modern concerts for the public.
Now there are plans to build a Hotel with amazing nine beds, so in peak times better look for an other place to stay...
